“One goes on my robe, and the other on whichever pair of pants I wear that day.” – Fred F. (attaching the home oxygen safety clips is easy and versatile)

As a result of months of in-home testing and customer feedback, for best results here are some guidelines for attaching your home oxygen safety clips. These unique clips are designed for use with a standard 1/4″ diameter O2 tubing on your concentrator, but will also work just fine on smaller 3/16″ diameter cannula tubing!

  • We have changed our packaging slightly by adding a tension relaxer (cardboard insert) between the fingers and the back of the clip. Please be sure to REMOVE the insert before using your clip for the first time.
  • You have two options for attaching “the Clip” for use:  1.) attaching  your home oxygen safety clips on your clothing first, or 2.) to the tubing first. Whichever works best for you, here’s how to engage your home oxygen safety clips with the cannula tube.

Attaching your home oxygen safety clips to the cannula tubing.

While holding “the Clip” in one hand, and the cannula tube in the other, position the tube under one of the outer tabs and snap the tube into place. Be certain to position the rest of the tube over the center tab so it will seat into place properly. Next, raise the unused outer tab and position the tube under it until it snaps into position. This should look like the picture below – what you did was to weave the tube into the tabs of the tubing clip.

Positioning home oxygen safety clips to your clothing.

For maximum benefit, the ideal location for attaching your home oxygen safety clips is at the waist. Try it on a belt, waist band or dress tie.  Slide the oxygen tubing clip onto the chosen area with the three (3) fingers on the outside and pointing down. If belt loops are involved, initially you may want to take the belt out of a few loops , or loosen your belt. Try it a few times  until you are familiar with the procedure. As you can see from the picture below, “the Clip” can also be positioned on a shirt or blouse front, or on a pocket. Different clothing styles will help determine available locations, but you get to decide where to  put it.

Adjusting the position of the home oxygen safety clips.

If a belt is used,  position “the Clip”  so it is slightly behind mid-point on your side. To increase or reduce the slack between “the Clip” and your cannula, lift slightly on one of the outside fingers and push down on the inside finger simultaneously. Then slide the oxygen tubing in the direction desired. You will find favorite spots for different tasks. “the Clip” is easily re-positioned so you are not locked in to one place.
